AIPGMEE 2016 Counselling

Official release by MCC

An official notification has been released by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) informing that AIPGMEE 2016 Counselling will be conducted in two rounds in 2016. Counselling will be commencing from March 12, 2016.

Earlier, counselling was coordinated in 3 rounds but this year MCC has revised it to 2 rounds due to Supreme Court’s verdict.

 

About AIPGMEE 2016

AIPGMEE 2016  was conducted in online mode on 2nd and 8th December for the allotment of 50% All India seats in post graduate courses offered under MS/MD programmes in medical colleges of India except J&K, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The result for AIPGMEE was out on February 5th, 2016.

The date of joining medical colleges for All India level is 10th May and for state level is 31st May.

 

AIPGMEE 2016 Counselling Process

Only the candidates who qualified in AIPGMEE exam are eligible for the counselling. The various steps involved in counselling process are registration, choice filling for seats, result publication, reporting at the allotted Medical College after each round, etc.

Counselling process will commence on March 12th, 2016 for AIPGMEE 2016. In the beginning of the counselling, students will have to register for ‘choice filling’.

AIPGMEE 2016 Counselling will be conducted in online mode by MCC. Approximately 5,500 seats will be filled in various medical colleges nationwide except J&K, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

  • AIPGMEE 2016 registration process for Counselling

Candidates have to register themselves for the counselling by providing the credentials from their admit cards. Choice filling must be done very carefully as this will be the only time to do so and no fresh choice filling will be done in 2nd round of counselling. Below given table provides information on the counselling registration dates.

After filling the required authentic information password will be generated. Candidates are advised to keep the password till the end of the counselling process.

 

  • Choice filing in AIPGMEE 2016

Fill the available choices on clicking available choices link but before filling up the choices, candidates must visit a tentative list of seat matrix prepared as per candidate’s preference for subjects and colleges. Then candidates can choose the available options in a sequence of decreasing order of preference.

 

  • AIPGMEE 2016 Indicative Seat Allotment

Seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their preferences after processing all the important factors for allotting a seat. Indicative allotted seat will be displayed twice on notified dates. In case if no indicative seat is displayed on the rank allotted to the candidates then this means that the choices submitted by those candidates are not available at their rank. Hence candidates have to modify their choices list as per their rank.

  • Second round of AIPGMEE 2016 Counselling

AIPGMEE 2016 counselling’s second round is the up-gradation of choices filled by candidates at the 1st round of registration seat filling process. No new choice filling option will be available in the 2nd round. Also candidates have to check the relevant option to participate in Round 2 at the time of reporting and joining the allotted seat during round 1. Candidates will not eligible in Round 2 counselling if they fail to ensure participation in 2nd round at the time of joining the college allotted during 1st round of counselling.

 

Eligibility for AIPGMEE 2016 seat allotment round 2:

  • Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotted in round 1 counselling of AIPGMEE 2016.
  • Registered candidates whose allotted seat got cancelled during the documentation process on reporting for admission, reserved quota candidates, with changed Category, subject to fulfilment of eligibility conditions.
  • Candidates who submitted willingness for participating in second round up-gradation on joining the allotted institute during round 1.

 

Allotment of seat in 2nd round of counselling

Seat allotted in 1st round will be cancelled if a candidate is allotted seat in the counselling round 2. Candidates will have to join the college allotted in second round. If a candidate fails to report within stipulated time then they will lose the seat and their candidature will also be forfeited.

 

Required Documents at the time of joining in allotted Medical / Dental College? 

Original documents required at the time of joining in allotted Medical / College are mentioned below:

  • Admit Card issued by NBE of AIPGMEE 2016
  • Result letter issued by NBE
  • MBBS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations’ mark sheets
  • Degree Certificate
  • Internship Completion Certificate/ Certificate
  • Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI.
  • Date of Birth proofs as in High School Certificate/ Higher Secondary Certificate/ Birth Certificate.
  • Identification Proof such as PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport or Aadhar Card.
  • Candidates must also bring the relevant documents of category if they have applied in SC/ST, OBC or in other Disability category
