NEET PG Dental/MDS (NEET MDS)

A new notification has been released by NBE pertaining to Counseling for PG/MDS admissions.

The Notification focuses on Counseling for Medical and Dental PG admissions.

What is the Notification about?

Mr. Amit Biswas, Under Secretary to the Government of India has addressed the notification to all the Principal Secretaries of States and UTs.

In this notification, Mr. Amit has referred to the discussions held with the States/UTs on November 28th 2016 on the issue of counseling for PG/MDS courses.

He stated that on the basis of the discussions, it is ascertained that majority of the States/UTs are willing to hold a Combined Counseling for all PG Medical/Dental courses at State/UT level including for Private Medical/Dental Colleges and Private/Deemed Universities.

He also added that with a successful conduct of Combined Counseling for UG courses (Medical & Dental) for the academic session 2016-17, it is considered that it will be appropriate for the State/UT Governments to conduct Combined Counseling through an authority designated for the purpose for admission to all PG Medical/Dental courses in all Medical/Dental colleges in the State/UTs including Private Medical/Dental Colleges and Private/Deemed Universities for the academic year 2017-18.
