A mixture of Theory + MCQs is required to study for DNB.

Have you attempted any PG exam previously? If yes, what were your ranks then and what did you do different this time that lead to your success?

I attempted NEET 2018 with my internship and I got 16265 rank in that.... So I decided to prepare again as my dream branch is medicine. I revised my notes multiple no. of  times... Did mcqs... Worked on weak subjects and tried to be 100% correct in my good  subjects & added missing points in my notes from authentic guide books.

How big is the role of practice and revision while preparing for DNB and how much time should be dedicated for it?

Very important... Daily study for 10-12 hrs with dedication.

Did PrepLadder play a part in your success? If yes, how?

Yes, PrepLadder did play a part in my success even though I was not a pro-user. I have seen free videos and participated in free quizzes. I gave dnb mock test of PrepLadder and got 33 rank in that.

Did you use a time table/study plan to keep your preparation on track?

Yes

Were you a topper or a mediocre student during MBBS?

Not a topper.. but always above average.... Btw 65-70% score in every university exam.

List the most difficult and easiest subjects for you.

Difficult for me are Anatomy and Biochemistry. Easy ones are Ortho, Psychiatry Dermatitis, ENT etc

One mistake that you believe everyone must avoid while preparing for DNB.

Over confidence

What was your exam taking strategy in DNB? How many questions did you attempt?

292 questions

Some last tips for our readers preparing for PG?

Be confident and have faith on it strength. Work on your weaknesses. Do multiple times revision even if you think you have done everything. Do daily mcqs with clinical application. Study regularly and in link.
