Study Hours for NEET MDS 

Commencing the preparation for the NEET MDS solely depends on the candidate’s preference:

  • Commence the preparation during the Internship period
  • Commencing preparation after Internship


There are certain steps in which your NEET MDS preparation should proceed:

I. Commencing the Preparation well in Time

Make sure to commence your preparation well in time for the exam. Ensure not to make it too late since the more your delay, the lesser are your chances of getting through.

Make sure to start your preparation at least 7-8 months prior to the exam. The recommended option is to commence your preparation during the Internship period.


II. Preparing a Study Schedule 

The foremost step prior to commencing preparation should be to formulate a proper study schedule.

You must devise a monthly study schedule and further assign the topics to each week.

Make sure to distribute topics uniformly among the weeks.

III. Commencing Preparation during Internship

This is the preferred option since you get ample time during this period. Devote at least 3-4 hours each day during the Internship to preparation.


IV. Commencing Preparation after Internship

In case you are commencing preparation after completing Internship, make sure to make the most of this time since the efforts put in at this time are sure to bear fruits.

Push yourself to study for a minimum of 6-7 hours in the beginning few weeks. Gradually increase your number of study hours by 2-3 hours. 

This way, you would gradually get accustomed to 9-10 hours of focused preparation. Eventually push yourself to 12-13 hours a day with the passage of time.


V. Devote Enough Time to Practice

Practice is the sole driver of success in NEET MDS. Make sure to devote a minimum of 4-5 hours a day to practicing and solving papers.

Solve papers from some good books such as Dentest, Pulse, Neeraj Wadhwan, Mudit Khanna and Amit Ashish.

VI. Devote Adequate Time to Revision

Revision is the most substantial part of NEET MDS preparation.

Make sure to revise the entire syllabus at least twice prior to the exam. Also, ensure that you revise all the previous AIPG papers at least two or three times.
