Aspects Associated with NEET MDS 2017

1. Scheme of NEET MDS 2017

NEET MDS will be a Computer-Based Test and will consist of 240 Multiple-Choice Questions from the BDS Curriculum prescribed at Government and Private Dental Colleges across the country.

 

2. Scope of NEET MDS 2017

The following seats will fall under the Ambit of NEET MDS 2017

  • All India 50% seats for MDS Courses – All States with exception of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
  • State Quota Seats for MDS Courses - All States & UTs of India with inclusion of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
  • MDS Diploma Seats – This would apply to All Private Dental Colleges, Deemed Universities & Institutions across the nation 
  • Armed Forces Medical Services InstitutionsMDS Seats falling under these.

3. Official Website for NEET MDS

NEET MDS 2017 will be conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). The official website for NEET MDS is www.nbe.edu.in and will be accessible with effect from 24th September 2016. Online Registrations for NEET MDS will commence from 26th September 2016 from 0700 hours till 31st October 2016 up to 23:59 hours.

The entire registration and application procedure will be Online.

 

4. Number of Test Centres

NEET MDS 2017 will be conducted in 86 Test Centres across 41 cities.

8. Candidate Support for NEET MDS 2017 

Candidates can use the Toll Free Number 1800 11 1700 and also get their queries resolved through an E-Mail support.

Toll Free Number and E-mail Support can be availed from 26th September 2016.

 

9. Institutions Exempted from NEET MDS 2017


AIIMS, New Delhi – This Institute does not fall under the ambit of NEET MDS and will conduct its own entrance examination

 

10. Counseling for NEET MDS 2017

Counseling for 50% All India Seats will be organized by Medical Counseling Committee set up by Health & Family Welfare Ministry of the Union Government.

Counseling for MDS Seats falling under State Governments will be conducted by the Concerned Department of Medical Education/University as notified by the Respective State Government.
