Hello, please tell us something about yourself

I'm Akhil Chodha from Chandigarh. I' have completed my BDS from Panjab University this year. I am fond of reading books.

What according to you is the correct approach to study for PGI Exam- Only MCQ's or Theory+MCQ's?

Theory + MCQ's

When should the preparation ideally begin for Entrance Exams?

From the starting of internship as that is the ideal time to practice what you are studying.

Please list the books you followed for your preparation.

I followed Standard textbooks of all subjects and dental pulse for MCQ's.

Which subjects did you focus on?

I focused more on dental subjects for PGI

Have you attempted PGI Exam previously? If yes, what did you do different this year that lead to your success?

Yes. In my first attempt I had not completed my internship.

For my success this year all the credit goes to revision!

What is the importance of practice and revision while preparing for PGI and how much time should be dedicated for it?

Practice and revision is the most important thing while preparing for this exam. According to me a thorough study on week days along with a thorough revision on Sunday is the best policy.

Did PrepLadder play a role in your success? If yes, how?

Yes, PrepLadder did help me a lot. It gave me a platform to compare my preparation level as compared to others.

Did you follow a time table/study plan to keep your preparation on track?

Yes. I devoted 6 hours daily.

Were you a topper or a mediocre student during BDS?

I was a mediocre student during BDS.

List the most difficult and easiest subjects for you.

The easiest subject for me was orthodontics and the most difficult was public health dentistry.
