Hello, please tell us something about yourself.

Hello. My name is Dr. Suraj. I graduated from AMC DENTAL COLLEGE, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. I secured 75th AIR in NEET MDS 2017.

What do you think is the correct approach to study for NEET MDS? Only MCQs or Theory + MCQs?

The correct approach is studying MCQ books with their Explanations & Synopsis thoroughly and Some Important topics from Standard Textbooks.

When should the preparation ideally be started?

The ideal time to start preparation is during the Internship period.

Please list the books you studied for each subject.

Here is the list of books which I followed for MDS preparation:

  • Dental Pulse
  • Neeraj Wadhawan
  • Spectrum
  • Current Dental Examination
  • NBDE
  • Dental Cocktail (Question bank)
  • Sturdevant (2,3,4 Chapter)

Have you attempted AIPGDEE previously? If yes, what did you do different this year that lead to your success.

No, it was my 1st Attempt

How big is the role of practice and revision while preparing for NEET MDS and how much time should be dedicated for it?

I'd rather study one book five times than studying five books one time.

I studied for about 5-10 hours during my Internship period.

After completion of Internship, I studied for about 11-12 hours.

Did PrepLadder play a part in your success? If yes, how?

Yes, PrepLadder’s Mock Exams helped me in assessing my tentative ranking at All-India level.

Did you use a time table/study plan to keep your preparation on track?

Yes, I joined Purple Dental Academy and I followed its Time Table prepared by my mentor Dr. Sameer Savaliya which included a Test on every Sunday followed by its Analysis.

Were you a Topper or a Mediocre student during Graduation?

I was a Mediocre student.

List the Most Difficult and Easiest subjects for you.

Pharmacology was my Favorite subject & Prosthodontics and Dental Materials were Difficult for me.

One Mistake that you believe everyone must avoid while preparing for NEET MDS.
