Hello, please tell us something about yourself.

Hey! My name is Dr. Surendra Bhati.  I graduated from Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, Dushanbe, Tajikistan and I have successfully cleared the FMGE exam with a score of 210.

What do you think is the correct approach to study for FMGE? Only MCQ's or Theory+MCQ's?

In my opinion, it is better to first do the theoretical part and then practice the MCQs. Only doing MCQs will not suffice.

When should the preparation ideally be started?

Well, one should start preparing for the exam from their graduation time only.

Please list the books you studied for each subject.

In reality, I never followed any book, all I did was follow all the notes provided by PrepLadder’s Dream Team.

Have you attempted FMGE previously? If yes, what did you do different this year that lead to your success

Yes, I had previously attempted FMGE in June ’19 and had scored 140 at that time. This time with the help PrepLadder’s dream team notes and videos I scored 210.

How big is the role of practice and revision while preparing for FMGE and how much time should be dedicated for it?

Revision is the key to any kind of exam. I spent around 12-14 hrs regularly for my study and 1-2 hrs for practicing MCQs daily

Did PrepLadder play a part in your success? If yes, how?

Yes, PrepLadder gave me the right direction and conceptual content to do exceedingly good in my main exam.

List the most difficult and easiest subjects for you.

Most difficult- Medicine and Microbiology

Most Easy- Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Pediatrics

Did you use a time table/study plan to keep your preparation on track? If yes, how?

Yes, I made a study plan by myself. My main focus was on mastering the basic subjects, and practicing a lot of MCQs helped me a lot.

Were you a topper or a mediocre student during graduation?

No, I was an average student during my graduation.

One mistake that you believe everyone must avoid while preparing for FMGE

Some aspirants don’t know what are studying as they are unaware of what to read.  I was able to study well only because PrepLadder gave me the right content.

Some last tips for our readers preparing for FMGE?

I believe that PrepLadder is the best stage for FMGE students with the best faculty. The dream team is the best team ever. Just follow their advice blindly. Believe in God, yourself and also, in the PrepLadder team. In my opinion, they are like God for FMGE students)
